The PAS website is updated to include a list of events and educational sessions, annual PAS conference information, professional practice and billing information, regional meetings and any other relevant practice information.

Continuing Professional Development for Pharmacy Professionals

Continuing Professional Development for Pharmacy Professionals (CPDPP) is based out of the University of Saskatchewan, College of Pharmacy and Nutrition. We develop, implement, support, and evaluate continuing education and continuing professional development opportunities for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. CPDPP also offers many other online courses for pharmacy professionals that are available for viewing here.

University of Alberta - Indigenous Canada

Indigenous Canada is a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) from the Faculty of Native Studies that explores Indigenous histories and contemporary issues in Canada. From an Indigenous perspective, this course explores key issues facing Indigenous peoples today from a historical and critical perspective highlighting national and local Indigenous-settler relations.

Antimicrobial Stewardship in Primary Care Continuing Education Program

This series of multimedia modules, directed at community-based practitioners, provides current information about the consequences of the use of antimicrobial agents, general principles for antimicrobial stewardship in primary care, as well as strategies to optimize antimicrobial use in a variety of common clinical scenarios.

Discounts are available to members of the School of Pharmacy community (e.g. alumni, co-op supervisors/preceptors) as well as large groups (e.g. 20 or more registrants from an organization). Discounts must be applied at the time of registration. Please contact phrcpd@uwaterloo.ca to determine whether you are eligible for a discount. Discounts will not be provided retroactively.

Online Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

Free Online Cognitive Behaviour Therapy courses for Saskatchewan residents with depression, anxiety, and pain. The Online Therapy Unit is led by Dr. Heather Hadjistavropoulos from the University of Regina and makes use of online therapy programs that were initially developed in Australia. The Online Therapy Unit allows trained therapists to provide the internet-delivered Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) to residents of Saskatchewan who have difficulties with depression, generalized anxiety, and/or panic. The Unit also provides education and training to diverse registered health professionals and students on how to deliver services online and conduct research on how to best deliver online-CBT.
